Frosty Mornings Card Made with Clear Stamps and Copic Markers - Matching Envelope

Hello, my crafty friends,
this is Shannon here with another card for the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog. I'm honored to be a member of the design team, but this month I almost blew it. I forgot to post the pictures of my card and write this issue of my blog.

Unfortunately, I'm suffering from a pain in the neck.  And if you're wondering, no, it isn't any of the boys... I truly have done something to tweak my neck.  Have you ever just woke up with pains that you never had before.  Or it's been so long that you barely remember they ever existed.

I turned 50 earlier this year.  I'm starting to have pains everywhere from the hair on my head to the tips of my toes.  Getting old is not for the wimpy.

Any way, I'm, suffering through it with ibuprofen and ice on and off.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to me whine... Are you supposed to write "listen" when referring to someone comprehending what you write.... hmmm... I'm curious.

Here are the products I used to create this card:

To close, I would like you to know about the upcoming Scrapbooking Fun Summit that I am speaking at.  I've created a very pretty Christmas card with the Layered Poinsettia die set from Kat Scrappiness. I will teach you how to make those layered die cuts three-dimensional.  This is the kind of card you make for someone extra special.

I would love if you signed up for the free ticket here: Scrapbooking Fun Summit. If you do decide to purchase the VIP pass, I will receive a commission on the sale.

See You In The Center Interactive Card - TLC Designs

Hello, my crafty friends. Today’s card is made with images from the Gnome Celebrations stamp set and the See You In The Center die set, both from TLC Designs.

I started by stamping the images with an ink that is compatible with alcohol markers since I will be coloring with my Ohuhu markers, onto smooth white cardstock.

After coloring the images, I sent them through my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them with a 1mm white border around them.

From the See You In The Center die set, I cut all of the components I needed to create this interactive card.  I had to stack several of the die cuts to create thicker components so they would withstand the moving back and forth.

After I cut two white pieces with the largest of the nesting dies, I cut a piece of mint green 80# cardstock with the same die.

I then cut what would be my card front with the 2nd largest die out of white cardstock and a piece of patterned paper from the Celebrated Times slimline designer paper pack. I glued the patterned paper on top of the white cardstock.  I used the smaller of the two slider components to cut from the card front. After that, I used the tiny hole punch die to cut where the die leaves an embossed circle.

This interactive card requires seven mini brads to hold together all of the components.  This allows the movement when you move the dial back and forth. I assembled the card according to the instructions on the back of the die set.

That’s it. A very easy and inexpensive interactive card.

I hope this inspires you to create an interactive card of your own with products by TLC Designs.  The Gnome Celebration stamp set and the See You In The Center die set are both on sale for $13.99 each, at the time of this blog post.
