LDRS Tiki Hut One Layer Card

Lemon Zest Cards

Hello zesty friends.

Today's cards were made with the Spellbinders Lemon Zest die set.  I cut the lemons, leaves, branches, and flowers from Hammermill 80# white cardstock.  I colored the die cuts with alcohol markers.  After I colored the die cuts, I flipped them over and used an embossing stylus to rub the centers of the die cuts.  This creates depth and dimension on the card without creating a lot of bulk.

On the card above, I colored the die cuts with Spectrum Noir Triblend Alcohol Markers.  For the card below I used Ohuhu Alcohol Markers.  I wanted to compare the two.  I'm pleasantly surprised that the Ohuhu markers are just as vibrant as the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

For both cards, the backgrounds were also cut from Hammermill 80# cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline With Hearts, Portrait Die (minus the hearts).  I used the Clearly Besotted Basic Stripes II stencil and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink to create the striped background.

The big hugs sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Big Script Words Stamp & Die set.
